Smooth plane quartics are the canonical models of non-hyperelliptic curves of genus three, and equip various geometric structures or symmetries. At the same time, from arithmetic viewpoints, we have many problems on plane quartics. This talk introduces some topics of plane quartics with curious arithmetic properties obtained by joint works with Tetsushi Ito, Tatsuya Ohshita, Takashi Taniguchi and Yukihiro Uchida.
