概要
アブストラクト:
The theory of minimal surfaces is one of the most classical subjects of Mathematics, whose modern roots were laid
in the works of Leonhard Euler and Joseph-Louis Lagrange. In this talk, I will describe some recent developments in the global theory of minimal surfaces in Euclidean spaces which have been obtained by complex analytic methods,
especially those coming from modern Oka theory. After a brief history and background of the subject, I will describe approximation and interpolation results for minimal surfaces, including those of finite total curvature, discuss the
status of the Calabi-Yau problem on the existence of bounded complete conformal minimal surfaces, and present a
recently introduced Kobayashi-type intrinsic metric and a Schwarz-Pick lemma for minimal surfaces.
