講演タイトル：スーパーコンピュータが拓く未来

講演要旨：
理化学研究所と富士通が共同で開発中のスーパーコンピュータ 「京」は、昨年の11月にスーパーコンピュータの性能ランキング TOP500において、6月に引き続き世界一位を連覇致しました。 本講演では「京」の概要をご紹介するとともに、このような高速 のコンピュータがものづくり、防災、医療において将来どのよう に役に立つのかについて、富士通において研究開発中の各種シミュレータを例にご紹介致します。

Title：Supercomputer Pioneers the Future

Abstract:
The TOP500 successively gave first rank to the
supercomputer "K" in last November following June
last year, which is jointly developed by RIKEN and
Fujitsu Limited. In my presentation, let me introduce
not only the outline of "K computer", but also how
such high speed computer will contribute to the
society. In other words, we are developing various
applications for computer simulation at Fujitsu,
collaborating with some universities, in the fields of
manufacturing, medical care, disaster prevention
and reduction and so on.
