講演タイトル：ビッグデータ時代での統計的機械学習技術

講演要旨：
近年，ソーシャルメディアや携帯端末の爆発的な普及によりディジタルデータが
世界中で大量に生産・蓄積されつつあり，ビッグデータ時代とも言われている．
ビッグデータ時代では，これら膨大かつ多様なデータから，いかに新価値を生み
出すかが研究面でもビジネス面でも重要である．本講演では，特にベイズ確率モ
デルを土台とする統計的機械学習技術を中心に，ビッグデータ時代での統計的機
械学習技術の重要性，最新技術トレンド，さらには具体的な応用事例について説
明する．

Title：Statisitical machine learning techniques for the era of Big Data

Abstract:
The spread of social media and mobile information terminals has accelerated in recent years, and huge quantities of digital data are now being produced and stored throughout the world. We can say that the era of “big data” is now upon us. For research and business applications, it is vital to have some way of extracting new value from these huge and diverse data resources. In this talk, I introduce the recent achievements of research of machine learning for big data, focusing on Bayesian probabilistic models.
