講演要旨：
数理解析は今や情報基盤の最大の差別化技術であり、IBM Corporation
の最重点投資領域のひとつになっている。オペレーションズリサーチ、
機械学習等を含む数理科学の技術は、いまやビジネスモデルそれ自体を
変えるほどのインパクトを持っている。本講演では、IBM東京基礎研究
所・数理科学部門における数理科学研究の概要を紹介する。特に、セン
サーデータの解析と、交通データの解析から、最近の研究例を紹介する。

Title：Mathematical Science Research and its application in IBM Research - Tokyo

Abstract:
Mathematical sciences or simply analytics is one of the major focuses of IBM Corporation. This is because analytics can be a key differentiator for information technology infrastructures. Analytics technologies including operations research and machine learning have a tremendous business potential that may even create a new business market. In this talk, I will share the overview of Mathematical Science Group at IBM Research - Tokyo. In particular, I will talk about some of the latest research projects in sensor data analytics and transportation research.
