講演タイトル：データを活用した社会システムの改善への取り組み
講演要旨：
IoT/クラウドの到来により，データを活用したビジネス活動の変革への取り組みが活発になってきている．多種多様なセンサで収集されたデータと従来の業務データを組み合わせ，大幅な業務改善や新たなビジネス機会を探ることに，データが活用できる．本発表では，NEC研究所におけるビックデータの活動紹介，および，通信キャリアや交通等のより膨大なデータを有する社会インフラで発生している課題を挙げ，これら課題を解決するための数理手法への期待を述べる．
Title：NEC Labs' activities on social infrastructure and its issues
Abstract:
With rapid evolution of ICT technologies including IoT and Cloud, data analysis is getting a prominent position in business process innovation. This speech provides a brief introduction of NEC Labs' activities on Big Data analysis and its cloud platform. After that I will discuss analysis issues in large social infrastructure, such as telecom carrier and transportation, which holds more data than a single enterprise business. And finally, I will give questions to the room how mathematical methods can address these issues.
