近年ビッグデータや統計、機械学習などデータ分析にまつわる重要性がますます注目されるなか、企業側でも社内外データの利活用についてこれまで以上に力を注いでおり、自社内の経験や勘だけでなく、客観的な視点に基づいたBIとデータ分析のコンサルティングを外部業者から求めている。本講演では、企業の経営戦略や意思決定を支援するためのBIコンサルティングサービスのプロセスを紹介し、そのプロセスにおいて仮説ありと仮説なしをどのように使い分けているか、データ分析おける機械学習や統計、数学知識がどのようにビジネスに必要とされているかについて紹介する。

Title : BI and data analysis for Enterprises Business -- How Statistics can help to improve business?

Abstract:
In recent years, data analysis including big Data, Statistics and Machine Learning technologies, is becoming more and more important for industry companies. Companies are increasing their investment on utilizing both internal and external data. Usually, most of the companies are obtaining business insights depending on in-house experiences and expert intuition. Now they are also requesting business intelligence (BI) services outside for making better decisions from an objective view by data analysis. In this talk, we will introduce our general process of BI consulting services for supporting management strategy and decision-making for enterprises. Furthermore, we will explain hypothesis testing method and hypothesis exploring method, and how to choose one for difference situation. Moreover, we will discuss about what kind of machine learning, statistics, and mathematics knowledge is required in the business area.
