Homogenization theory studies the effects of high-frequency oscillations in the coefficients upon solutions of partial differential equations. The coefficients may be periodic, almost periodic, or random and the classical theory of homogenization for periodic cases started by the French, the Italian, and the Russian schools in 1978. However, the extension from the periodic to the random setting is non-trivial and this topic will mainly talk about the homogenization for divergence-form equations with random coefficients.
