First we introduce a class of Lie algebras attached to Clifford algebras and their modules, and explain their classification together with the existence of lattices in the corresponding simply connected nilpotent Lie groups. Then we give an application of the classification results to the construction of isospectral non-diffeomorphic nilmanifolds with respect to the Laplacian and sub-Laplacian too.
