In this talk I will present mean value solutions to
multitemporal systems
of wave equations on symmetric spaces with even root multiplicities.
Previous solutions used the Helgason Fourier or Radon transforms.
These mean value solutions use the hypergeometric shift operators
of Heckman and Opdam, and immediately imply Huygens' principle for
such systems.
