Homomorphic encryption is encryption supporting additions and multiplications on encrypted data (without decryption). This encryption is expected to be applied to cloud computing. In this talk, I introduce homomorphic encryption and its typical applications. Specifically, I briefly introduce the construction of LWE (Learning with Errors) based homomorphic encryption. I also give a packing method, which is very useful and efficient in applying the LWE-based encryption to practical applications.
