The introduction of network coding theory, in which the routers encode the received packets before forwarding them to the downstream nodes, challenges the basic mechanism of Internet and sparks a lot of interest in designing more efficient network. However, the paradigm shift in data transmission also brings new security challenges to the system which cannot be solved by traditional cryptographic tools. In this talk, I first introduce how to use homomorphic authentication to guarantee the security of network coding. Then, we analyze the security of some of the existing homomorphic signature scheme. Next, we propose our work on homomorphic authenticaiton. Finally, the challenges and future work of the secure network coding is given.
