For PDE system describing the stationary modes arising in
viscous compressible stratified three-dimensional fluid, we
investigate the structure of the spectrum. We prove that,
for Dirichlet boundary value problem, the essential spectrum
consists of three real points. The spectrum is symmetrical
with respect to the real axis and we find the sector of the
complex plane to which all the eigenvalues belong. We
compare these spectral results with the case of inviscid
fluid.
