I am also a researcher at Corporate R&D Center, Toshiba Corporation. My research interests include time-series data mining, machine learning, and their explainability, with applications in the infrastructure and manufacturing sectors. These industrial sectors require highly reliable and efficient equipment diagnostics using AI on sensor data. As a result, technologies that explain AI decision-making processes to domain experts with waveform knowledge have become important. To address these industrial challenges, I have been proposing and developing machine learning methods, based on shapelets and counterfactual explanations, to discover effective waveform patterns for anomaly detection and classification, and am applying these methods to the industries.

Not limited to fields of my expertise, I aim to advance technologies in both academia and industry by matching mathematical seeds and industrial needs.
