Topology, Algebraic Topology, Combinatorial Structure

Two things can be often distinguished by their rough features, instead of precise information. For example, we can see that the numbers 0 and 8 have different shapes because the numbers of circles in them are different. In algebraic topology, we define “rough features” of things as properties which are invariant under continuous deformation, and study such properties by describing them in terms of numbers and algebras, like the example above. From a point of view of algebraic topology, I study algebraic and combinatorial structures of spaces, and spaces which are combinatorially constructed.
