Title :  On the cryptosystem in Quantum Computer era
 
Abstract :
Research for the realization of quantum computers has progressed rapidly in the last few years, thus a step toward practical use has come to be felt. In response to it, we should be aware the fact that public key cryptosystem (such as RSA) currently widely used can be broken by quantum computers. Nonetheless, the current public key cryptography might not be broken in the near future, but alternative technologies that can replace it are required since public key cryptosystem is one of the essential technology that supports information security. In this talk, I will focus on post-quantum public key cryptosystem(PQC) that is resistant against the attacks by quantum computers, and show you an overview of leading PQCs from a mathematical point of view. In addition, I will illustrate the ideal PQC which I envision. I would also like to introduce the current status of international standardization on PQCs, if enough time left.
