Title:New understanding of fluid mixing

Abstract:
Fluid mixing in engineering is the operation that changes blind fluid motion to objective one. Fluid mixing is related to the motion of pattern appearing in a flow field. This motion as a kind of illusion is usually confused with the real motion of fluid matter itself. The difficulty in understanding the mixing phenomena arises from this confusion. Good mixing is able to achieve in regular flow without chaotic or turbulent disturbed flows. In the meaning, there are left many problems that are not necessarily analyzed from the point of mathematical view. In this lecture, the actual image and the related problems of fluid mixing are proposed.
