Frobenius split (F-split) varieties are an important class of algebraic varieties, which appear in many contexts in algebraic geometry in positive characteristic. Yobuko defined the notion of “quasi F-splitting”, which is a generalization of F-splitting, and he proved this behaves very well for Calabi-Yau varieties. In this talk, we focus on quasi F-splitting of del Pezzo surfaces. In particular, we show that a del Pezzo surface is quasi F-split if it is klt and the characteristic is bigger than five, or smooth. This talk is based on joint work with Teppei Takamatsu, Hiromu Tanaka, Jakub Witaszek, Fuetaro Yobuko, and Shou Yoshikawa.
