Abstract:
An abstract simplicial complex is called Golod if all products and (higher) Massey products in the Koszul homology of its Stanley-Reisner ring are trivial. It is challenging and interesting to characterize Golodness of a simplicial complex combinatorially. Recently, a topological approach to Golodness was found in toric topology, and several nice results were obtained by this approach. I will show that the Golodness of a 3-manifold triangulation is characterized, through topology, by a property called tightness, which is originated in differential geometry. This is joint work with Kouyemon Iriye.
