Title :
Solving local issues by mathematics approach indicated by the cases in cooperation between Itoshima City and IMI

Abstract :
It is required to create a system to implement effective projects, based on an understanding of local needs and appropriate analysis of those data, in order for the local government to respond the various needs of citizens, solve local issues, and promote sustainable community development. To build such a system, our city has been working with IMI and some companies, and providing matching support for the destinations of migrants, etc., using mathematical technology and AI. Let us introduce the past cases of what the local government and citizens perceived as challenges, what they hoped the community to be, and how we tried to solve those challenges using mathematics.
