summary:
The concept of anti-integrable limit introduced by Aubry has now provided an
alternative method to prove the existence of chaotic orbits in some dynamical
systems. In particular, it presents a vivid picture of symbolic dynamics at
the limit. In this talk, examples such as the logistic map, the standard map,
the Henon map, the Sinai billiard, etc. will be used to introduce the concept.
The underlying idea of each example will be emphasized.
