summary:
We discuss in this talk some problems related to a monomial representations $\tau=\Ind_H^G\chi$, where $G$ denotes an exponential solvable Lie group, $H$ an analytic subgroup of $G$ and $\chi$ a unitary character of $H$. We first record some results where $G$ is nilpotent. Passing from nilpotent to exponential, many complications arise. The goal is to put the emphasis on a restrictive case where the multiplicities of $\tau$ are with discrete type. This is a joint work in progress with H. Fujiwara and J. Ludwig.
