I have been studying dynamical systems and nonlinear evolution equations. In particular, I am interested in bifurcation theory and chaos for infinite-dimensional dynamical systems. Recently, coupled oscillators, which consist of many dynamical systems interacting with one another, are actively studied in physics, engineering and biology. It seems that a theory of infinite-dimensional dynamical systems is quite effective for such systems, however, it is not well developed and involves many interesting problems.
