Staff Introduction
TAKASHIMA, Katsuyuki / Guest Professor
I have been engaged in research on cryptography, since I joined Information Technology R&D center, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. Cryptographic research field consists of two main areas, i.e., analysis and design, in general. I have been mainly working on both sides in elliptic curve cryptography. Here, algorithmic and complexity-theoretic treatment is important as well as basics on number-theory and algebraic geometry. These days, I study a new type of functional encryption using pairings on elliptic curves. This research field has been rapidly developed by several researchers, and I would like to advance my research further.
