Staff Introduction
I have been studying manybody problems in quantum mechanics. I am particularly interested in what atoms and molecules are stable. Mathematically, it corresponds to the eigenvalue problem for partial differential equations, and I want to understand quantum mechanics by studying the properties of its solutions. The original Schroedinger equation is a linear differential equation, but nonlinear equations sometimes appear as approximate theories for manybody problems. I am also interested in investigating the mathematical properties of such approximate theories used in physics and chemistry.
